Artist
Talulah Belle Lautrec-Nunes is a full-time professional artist living her dream up a dirt road in the hills behind Tauranga, at the edge of native bush, with various farm animals for company!
While living in England for many years, New Zealand-born Talulah attended part-time painting classes in Sussex and the South of France. She also visited many renowned galleries and saw some of the world’s most famous collections of art, the most memorable being the Matisse/Picasso exhibition at the Tate Modern. In 2002, after 17 years abroad, she returned to New Zealand, and in 2004 became a full-time professional painter. For the last four years Talulah has been teaching art to adults and children, most recently teaching adult painting classes at Harrison’s gallery in Tauranga.
Talulah achieved a Diploma of Art and Creativity (Hons) in 2007, and it was in June of that same year she organized the prestigious Holy Trinity Masterpiece exhibition in Tauranga.
A fascination with expressionism and the impact it has on contemporary painting has led Talulah to develop a unique, easily recognisable and admired style. She is a prolific painter and exhibits regularly throughout the upper North Island.
